cny eve updates

Greetings from JB, Malaysia and Selamat Tahun Baru Cina!

We have had no leads on our Sheltie being a lost dog, and managed to rehome him to a friend last night. We are happy Grover has a new and loving home!

On other news, we got ourselves a group of student-volunteers who are keen on helping Ubi Kuching Project raise funds as well as help us with raising awareness on our adoption work. We will be meeting them next Sunday!

Speaking of volunteering, if you are keen on helping out clean up after, medicating, grooming and feeding the animals we have boarding in our custody, Aswat usually does all that when he opens the shop at around 11am from Mondays to Saturdays; we do the same thing again in the evenings before Angels closes at 9pm - if you are keen on volunteering in this respect, please contact us or drop by during those times.

We are also getting a donation of veterinary supplies after the new year! We will be using some of the supplies - antibiotics, vitamins - to feed the Upper Boon Keng cats with next Wednesday (to be confirmed), because some of the sick cats are totally elusive to human contact. We hope that at least this way the flu' outbreak there will be resolved somewhat.

After the new year we also have our Joo Chiat trapping-for-neutering for the strays in that area, date as yet unconfirmed. Andy and I will likely be cycling there from Ubi to feed them for a few nights before, so that trapping will be easier.

I won't be able to see and therefore write much on the adoptions that take place over this weekend, but Aswat will continue to care for the animals and Andy will take pictures and update the Facebook page, so do follow us on Facebook if you haven't already. From what I hear, there is a new Silky Terrier puppy dumped at the shop, and 4 more kittens were coming in, rescued from the Ubi industrial estate before the authorities came in to cull them.

In the meanwhile, enjoy your holidays dear readers!
