5 orphans - named!

The 5 orphaned newborn kitties that arrived yesterday have been named! Inspired by characters from literature and anime.

Snowball

Goma

Gin

All 5 are doing well and drinking their milk, no signs of illness, cooperative in suckling the bottle.

How to adopt

If you are keen to adopt any of the cats in our Adoption Alert above, do take some time to

1) Answer our Adopters' Questionnaire, answers to which can be emailed to us or shared over the phone.
2) Read our Adoption Fees and Adoption Agreement.

Contact us to discuss the Adopters' Questionnaire. After being screened by us through your answers to our Adopters' Questionnaire you will be invited for a visit to our foster home. Visits to our foster home are by appointment only. Here is how to contact us to furnish your answers to our Adopters' Questionnaire:

Our main foster home for Love Kuching Project rescues is in Ubi (map). Address to our foster home will be emailed or SMS-ed to you once you have passed our adopter screening and have confirmed a visitation appointment.

More about adopting from us

Cats that are being fostered by us receive the best care possible. They are fed premium grain-free dry and canned food, according to their age requirements. They are also given fresh supply of water 24-hours, necessary supplements, toys, and are also toilet-trained, exercised and socialised while they stay with us. Young orphans that need to be hand-reared are bottle-fed with KMR milk replacement. They will also be cleaned and groomed to ensure that they remain well and healthy. Any sicknesses or injuries the animal may have when they come to us we will treat it with first aid and OTC medication or bring to the vet if the condition is serious. Kittens above the age of 8 weeks old will given their first booster vaccination.

Adopting from Love Kuching Project will require an Adoption Fee from the adopters. This is to:
1) Prevent the pet from being abandoned again
2) Prevent the pet from being re-sold at a profit
3) Cover part of the animal's boarding expenses
4) Help us further our work in rescuing and re-homing animals-at-risk and unwanted pets
5) Help us further in caring for stray cats through sterilisation.
6) Cover potential veterinary costs of rescued and stray animals in our custody
7) Cover vaccination costs

Adopters will be required to sign an Adoption Agreement. This is to prevent adopters from profiteering by reselling the animal as well as to ensure the animal's welfare is cared for adequately in its new home.

NB:
Our expenses are classified into 5 partition funds: Boarding Fund, Sterilisation Fund, Veterinary Fund, Stray Cat Fund and Operations Fund. Donors can make their contributions via cash deposit machines, internet banking, or monthly standing instruction - they can specify which funds to contribute to (by texting Elaine at 90880675) or make a simple general cash gift.

Income not from donors are from blogshop participants that donate part of their proceeds from sales of their products, and reimbursements from Cat Welfare Society for sterilisation of stray cats, as well as bank interests and cash-backs.
