Update on 5 orphans - almost 2 weeks old!

The 5 orphans from Choa Chu Kang came to us 1 week old, and now their eyes have opened! Great news for Snowball, Goma, Jin, Chi and Whitey!

Unfortunately flu' symptoms set in, and they are too young for medication, so the colostrum supplement and Lysinium Max added to their milk will have to suffice for now. Snowball had some eye discharge, Whitey's eyes a bit red around the eye. Will be grooming away their tears and hope the colostrum, lysine and vitamins make up for the loss of immunity from not having their mother's milk any more. So far they seem to be doing better already.

They are still on 4-hourly feedings of milk, and are drinking more now each feed.

In another week's time they will be partially weaned off milk and trying out solid food which will take about 2 weeks. We will also move them to a bigger pen with a litter tray to teach them litter-box usage. Once they have been fully weaned and litter-trained and are in a clean bill of health they will be ready for adoption!
