Phoebe the Chihuahua gets her dinner as her main meal once a day, but throughout the day she goes to our cats' bowl and snacks on the Taste of the Wild cat food there sometimes. Thankfully, Chihuahua's typically need more protein as they are active dogs and she has no food allergies of any kind. She actually likes the Taste of the Wild more than her own dog food!
As for her training progress she is beginning to visit the toilet more properly but we have accidents at least once every two days while we are not around to give her attention. She would do well penned if left alone.
She has also gotten less jealous of our cats' proximity to us. I doubt they will reach the stage of being able to play together as animals of totally different body languages altogether but all in all, it is peace and harmony, dog and cats in our households.
We are expecting a visiting prospective adopter tonight for her, alongside a couple of others who have shown interest in visiting her for adoption too. Hope it works out well - Phoebe needs a loving permanent home soon!
